If you believe feminists need to get organised, consider joining us for an Activism Network.
Feminism is Activism FOR Females.
All females, regardless of where they're from, where they live, what they look like, or what they believe. It is FOR women and girls, because there are crimes against women and girls, simply for being born female - before they even have a personality, or a chance in the world. Women are enslaved for their procreative powers. Once psychologically or physically enslaved, girls and women are raped by men, and their female foetuses are aborted, until a male one is conceived. Girls have their genitals mutilated, so that rape hurts even more - known as FGM Girls have Abortions forced on them after being raped then impregnated. Little Girls are married off to old men who rape and imprison them. Girls and Women are banished to unhygienic, archaic Menstrual Huts while they bleed; despite the Period being the very Rhythm of Life! Men should respect this rhythm at the very least, if not revere it. In these huts, women and girls sometimes freeze to death; are attacked by animals; and are sexually assaulted. 99.7% of women have been repeatedly subjected to violence against them since birth; 94% of that violence perpetrated against them by males. Then, there's forced prostitution, human trafficking, and survival sex. There's also having your kidnap and rape at age 14, filmed and broadcast on the internet as entertainment. Not to mention pregnancy complications and pregnancy discrimination for women who choose and delight in motherhood. And then there's the dehumanising campaigns erasing women from language and law completely, from female-only rights and experiences, and reducing women to body parts and functions, like any misogynist serial killer would. And privileged white males stealing opportunities from young, indigenous women. And the homophobic misogynist attacks that Lesbians face everywhere they go. And, And, And... Women are Sacred, and deserve to be respected.
Regardless of imposed hierarchies, everyone is born with equal human rights.
The most basic of these being respect. According to the Australian Human Rights Commission: "Every person has dignity and value." That includes women as a protected sex category, and women - feminists - will spend our lives fighting for basic, human respect for all women, and educating the ignorant that women are people that belong only to themselves, and who and what they choose to Love, until all women are safe and respected for simply being female in the world. Every Day, Feminists Are Fighting For Women - and having to defend ourselves for that.

“We used to hide our books under our scarves. Women were not allowed to go to markets. Taliban gunmen would be standing there telling women that they cannot work, they cannot go shopping, girls cannot go to school. That was clearly our life under the Taliban." - Malala Yousafzai |
“All female artists who work in Afghanistan today are risking their lives so that they can pave the way for other women.” - Paradise Sorouri |
“I’m sitting here waiting for them to come. There is no one to help me or my family. I’m just sitting with them and my husband. And they will come for people like me and kill me. I can’t leave my family. And anyway, where would I go?” - Zarifa Ghafari |

My voice is always painful It is not pole but the weather is cold I wanted to run to my waist I wanted to think about hitting my head Burning my face in the name of Islam My nose was cut off for revenge Spraying acid on my hands and body Sell Me That Only One Body I wanted to talk about being a woman The intellect is imperfect and the height of a needle I did not say no, I did not say people But there is no reason to say I am alive My husband can rape me Take four wives and commit adultery Oh people, do not feel sorry for me Take my chats to the whole world My country is called Afghanistan It is full of pain and sorrow Every day from dawn to iftar We are always waiting for suicide Suicide takes lives outside Dreams die here in my mind I will one day become a stupid suicide bomber I become a bribe-taker. Do not be afraid of imprisonment Listen when I tell you in the hope of freedom There is nothing here, you are a slave too, go I am a woman, I know only that Hold my hand, let me be alone, gay Afghanistan has a thousand hadiths and anecdotes We are guilty from the beginning in the story and narrative When I was born is asking a boy? Under the lips with embarrassment to say no girl A weak one, a politician, a tent over his head A woman, a slave for a man Damn them, my voice sounds I take my right to get Janet My country is called Afghanistan It is full of pain and sorrow Every day from dawn to iftar We are always waiting for suicide My country is called Afghanistan It is full of pain and sorrow Every day from dawn to iftar We are always waiting for suicide My country is called Afghanistan It is full of pain and sorrow Every day from dawn to iftar We are always waiting for suicide |
lyrics translated to English
There is an everlasting pain in my voice There not pole, but is cold I intended to run, but stabbed in back I intended to think, but stabbed by head I was burned in the face in the name of Islam And was disgraced for revenge Had acid poured all over me I was sold as I was dead out of soul Wanted to talk but was stopped for being a woman You are short of wisdom, and are nothing I said not, nor I said I am died I have no reason for saying I am alive My husband can rape me And marry 4 more wifes Oh people, don’t feel sorry for me Just send my words to the world Afghanistan is my country name But is full of pain. Always waiting for another blast From dawn to dark last Blast takes lives outside But I lose my mind inside I may be a shit suicider And maybe a briber fears not Hear me when I say There is no wish you go away I am a woman same as you and that’s it Leave me not a lone do grasp it (hend) Afghanistan! A series of words Known as criminal all over the world When born was asked a boy? Being shy they said a girl but a toy A weak, a woman, a veiled A woman and enslaved for man Down with all I say and run I ask my right till I am alive. Afghanistan is my country name But is full of pain. Always waiting for another blast From dawn to dark last Afghanistan is my country name But is full of pain. Always waiting for another blast From dawn to dark last |

*A note to Men:
Some of us used to believe men could be feminists, too - that is, until we met men mansplaining Feminism to women; advocating for men's rights over women's rights; and insulting and silencing women.
The best thing you can do for women, is to fight these men for us, while we fight for women AND defend ourselves, at the same time.
Men are never women. Start with that.
